Poll Finds More Young Americans Think Well Of Socialism, Communism

well, not going to soil this immediate mind by reading other’s additions,

youth will be the future; IF they understand that said future is their future
they might consider reality, not the boob-tube’s media folly. the effort to

change the current power that is will only arrive with inexperienced vote.

young opinions are marked with an almost deadly self opinion. think of it
from those who have been there before in a not so similar situation, but it
just doesn’t matter. socialism generates sadness, more as it morphs into
communism. socialism is communism with Christmas lights. it may seem
so innocent, presents in view, but nothing, but nothing’s free on this globe.

the piper WILL be paid. think of the things you will lose, with that free

ride they like to voice to the uninformed, are full of energy for a personal
assumed gift. that gift will cost in the future, maybe not in the short sight,
but believe it. it will come from the rear. biting every liberty and freedom you
think will last forever. hint: nothing lasts forever; barring the Word of God. dig it.

let us not remember, and spout out, history. it’s bunk, nice to recall, but not to return. DO NOW.
actions, not words…

the future is owned by the youth of America. said group of citizens be seeing all
the joys you experience now. that free ride will cost you young adults your future. Edit View in discussion Discussion on About Jesus.net 7 comments

Daily Lesson

Consider the advice of your elders not
because they are always right but because
of the wisdom they have gleaned from
being wrong…Native American quote

As you look back on your younger years
the number of times you thought your
parents were wrong are now echos that
you hear when you try to tell your
children what to do. Remember, you are
never too old to learn from someone even
a few days older than you and never so
old you can not teach someone a few
days younger. Edit View in discussion David 6 days ago

Make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days. — Ephesians 5:16

We must buy up the opportunities we have before the night comes. This is the day of opportunity. Our church took a survey of two thousand women in our community to find out what they were thinking, and how our women’s ministry could best meet their needs. Out of all of those interviewed, only a handful of women were hostile or refused to talk with us. We need to buy up the opportunities with the many who are interested and searching.

Colossians 4:5 tells us to “live wisely among those who are not Christians, and make the most of every opportunity.” Paul goes on to explain that in this wise walk, our speech must be salty (there will be a tang to it) so that we may know how to answer every person. Making the most of every opportunity means cultivating the “know-how” of argument and debate. Making the most of every opportunity means that by our very lifestyle, we will engender some questions from others.

Once in a train full of rowdy, drunken football fans, a young Christian was sitting quietly, reading. An old gentleman, observing first the drunks and then the young man, said to him, “You seem to have found the secret to life—do you want to share it?” Our young friend lost no time “making the most of the opportunity”!

We must ask God for a great sense of urgency so that we can make the most of every opportunity to serve and share him.

For further study: Ephesians 5:15-20

He does the picking and choosing; maybe ones character and behavior matter.

  2. Message summary: Today we will consider changes, challenges and choices. Listen to this message on your audio player.
  3. “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are Which of course elicits a number of responses. Bunny then says,
  4. “Today is the day God has given me the opportunity to tell you that Jesus loves you!”Yesterday he went along with us for our chaplain visits, especially looking for opportunities to minister to truck drivers. Our first company yesterday receives many containers from a port and Bunny is seeking ways to share God’s love with these drivers. At this company we have the opportunity to share a brief devotional message early each Tuesday morning so yesterday I asked Bunny to share. He shared that we all have changes, challenges and choices in life which prompted today’s study. Some 3,400 years ago Joshua gave his final challenge to the children of Israel. He had lived his life in steadfast commitment to God. He’s first mentioned in Scripture as the trusted commander of Moses’ army shortly after they crossed the Red Sea during the Exodus. He, along with Caleb, was one of only two spies to bring back a faith-filled report that essentially said, “With God’s help we can do it!”Joshua had faithfully served under Moses during the 40-year period in the wilderness and had led God’s people in the conquest for some 25 years. He’s now 110 years old and musters enough strength for a final challenge to faith and commitment that rings through the ages. The people were experiencing three C’s that people all though the ages have dealt with.
  5. 1) Changes – The Israelites had entered the promised land under Joshua’s leadership but now were about to experience a change. Things weren’t going to stay the same; there would soon be new leadership. We go through many changes throughout the course of our lives; some major, even life-transforming, others smaller. Most of us really don’t know what change we will encounter today, but great assurance can fill our hearts when we remember that God said “I the Lord do not change” (Malachi 3:6). He is a steady presence in our life, the anchor for our faith when all other ground is sinking sand. Thomas Chisolm reminds us that we can rely on our unchanging God in the hymn classic, Great Is Thy Faithfulness: “Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not. As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.”
  6. 2) Challenges – Changes often bring on challenges. Although the people had entered the promised land many challenges lay ahead for them. Just keep reading and you’ll see one challenge after the other! In our lives changes usually bring challenges as well and just like the Israelites we will receive blessing when we obey God.
  7. Choices – Usually there are choices we must make as a result of changes and challenges, and that makes life hard. Today we will all make many, many choices. Life is just full of choices and decision-making, from tiny daily choices such as what brand of soap to purchase or what to eat for dinner to major, life altering decisions such as our choice for a mate or career. Many choices do not have moral consequences but many others are a choice between right and wrong. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death” (Proverbs 14:12). However there is one fundamental choice we all share, based upon today’s portion of Scripture in the Old Testament. Joshua set the fundamental choice clearly before the people with these words, “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve”. In the context of Joshua’s challenge their fundamental choice was between serving the one true God and “the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.”In a broader sense the choice now and for every generation is whether we serve the one true God or “the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Even those who practice the faith of atheism are essentially serving the god of this world. People then and now have this fundamental choice, for the one true God does not force people to love and serve Him.Joshua sets a great example for the people of his time and through all subsequent ages, including our own. Let us proclaim this day, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”
  8. Be encouraged today,
  9. Daily prayer:  Father, You have drawn us with an everlasting love; You show us Your loving kindness day after day. Your bountiful provision gives to us material, physical and spiritual blessings that only a caring heavenly Father can give. But even though our cup overflows with Your goodness we face changes and challenges amidst our blessing. As we deal with the inevitable changes and the subsequent challenges that follow help us to make the life defining choice, like Joshua, and declare to all who will hear,
  10. “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.”

Our hearts have been strengthened in the love of the Father.
God has a purpose for your life. He has a goal. What He wants
to do with your life is a most important question to ask yourself and Him!

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of
those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” when (Romans 8:28) It’s very interesting to note that the Greek word for “purpose,” is also the word used the Bible mentions the bread of the Presence.

These loaves served to represent the twelve tribes of Israel positioned before the
Almighty. Today, by Jesus’s sacrifice, who is the living bread from heaven, God
positions you forward.

Jesus grants you the favor and blessing of God. He proposes your advancement, your success, your blessing to the Father, as the bread did for the tribes of Israel; and God’s blessing on His people. Believe that you’re called according to His purpose. His eternal purpose. But also His purpose here on Earth, which is to guide you, comfort you, lead you, and use your life .  “according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus
our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in
Him. (Ephesians 3:11-12)

David, God’s plan for you is good! Like an artist, He has drawn out the
plan for your destiny in advance, His work is magnificent! Thanks for existing.

“God met me with open arms”
Nina Hagen on loss experience in her childhood and youth

TIME magazine: Mrs. Hagen, when you were a child , your mother, Eva-Maria Hagen tried to kill herself.

Nina Hagen: Yes, that was a big shock abandonment. Then you suddenly see that they are not the center of life is. My mother wanted me to live alone. She must have forgotten how much she loved me. I always wanted to protect her. I had such dreams in which my mom on the road running around naked, because I wanted to say you love so much that I think it sucks that they should put on something.

TIME magazine: But your father was there for you?

Hagen: Yes, I was his one and only. But when he began to be unfaithful and being fair to deal with others, came for the first time in my life up the jealousy. Jealousy is indeed the fear that one is not loved. And this loss of experience was repeated again and again. My first love, where I thought we would get married, was also common to tell Sun

TIME magazine: Was there a rescue of this loss aversion?

Hagen: I was a child who always longed for God. Loved me and lifted to feel, not just here and now, but forever and ever. And God is with me, arms outstretched, in fact accommodated. He never said, “Oh no, Nina, you’re not good enough. From today you are no longer my daughter. “So what would never do!

TIME magazine: How did you meet him that you know so exactly what he does and what does not?

Hagen: I was 17 and wanted to know. I wanted proof of God the herbeizwingen. I have taken LSD, because I had heard that some people make it as the natural order in relation to contact with God. The result was an LSD trip, which consisted only of pain. It was hell. I was at the border between this world and the hereafter. And as I said, “Dear God, help me!” And immediately he came and said, “Nina, I am here to help you too.” And I suggested to the eye and was in a beautiful world. Peaceful bliss. And God looked me in the face. And I realized: He loves me just as I loved a man has never yet, and no man can ever love like! And then I asked him: “Are you going away again like all the others?” And he said: “I was always there, I’m always there, and I’ll be there forever.”

TIME magazine: What has made so sure that this encounter with God only an LSD hallucination was not? Sounds a bit like …

Hagen: Talk to people who had a near death experience, which tell you the same thing: there is the dimension of the eternal home.

TIME magazine: Don’t your friends say: “Nina, you’ve got a crack in the bowl”?

Hagen: Nope, they have listened interested. Because I am so authentic. But I realized that my experience really only makes  sense to me. For other people this is an interesting fact report, but their faith will get you only if we build a relationship with God himself.

TIME magazine: Since you are 17, you are then lifted in God. That’s not bad.

Hagen: Yes, it was a real rescue. I have now understood that I am earthly,  I do not need sexual love  any more. I’m already, since my first love died, widow.I am looking for no love, love is just there. I run around and do not want to marry me again or something.

TIME magazine: So only God and love your life partner?

Hagen: Yes, my good friend, teacher, master, God, the love in person.

TIME magazine: That sounds more like the concept of life of a nun?

Hagen: Yes, I am also a nun.

TIME magazine: And since when are you a nun?

Hagen: Ever since the birth of my daughter Cosma. But even before that. If you are a nun, everything is sacred. Even the sexual relationship. The nun, yes, love is a sacred thing. That makes this not because she feels instincts, but simply because they love lives, while pregnant and child in the world brings.

TIME magazine: Normally one to believe always the doubt. Do you also doubt the existence of God?

Hagen: No, I do not know.

TIME magazine: Then you are but one exception and one lucky child!

Hagen: Yes, that’s why God has given me my voice, with which I proclaim his good news.
